Version: 2.1.0
Contract key: contractor_fee_schedule

1. Standard Marketplace Fees

For standard Completa marketplace-originated jobs, contractor platform fees are calculated by the active V10/v2 commercial terms snapshot. At launch, Rising Pro pays 5% on the first $5,000 of contractor-facing project value and 3% above $5,000; Pro pays 4% / 2%; Experienced Pro pays 3% / 1%; Verified Pro pays 2.5% / 0.5%. The Founding Pro taper applies to contractor fees only: 0% during days 0-60 after eligible signup, 2% during days 61-90, 3.5% during days 91-120, and the contractor's full tier schedule after day 120, unless a signed account-specific addendum states otherwise.

Contractor platform fees are assessed only against released milestone payouts, approved diagnostic payouts, completed project payouts, or other amounts actually payable to contractor. Customer-facing service fees, Quick Book fees, sales tax, credits, ACH-first rail treatment, and customer-paid card/payment-processing treatment are separate line items and do not change the contractor tier schedule. A customer-paid Card Processing Fee added because a customer selects credit card on an above-threshold marketplace project is not contractor revenue and does not increase contractor payout.

2. Sales Tax on Contractor-Facing Fees

Contractor-facing Completa Platform Fees are exclusive of applicable Sales Tax unless a signed fee schedule or tax configuration expressly states otherwise. Where the approved internal Texas data-processing/marketplace-provider tax configuration applies, Completa may charge and collect Sales Tax in addition to the contractor-facing platform fee and may deduct or collect that tax in the same manner as the associated fee.

The tax base for that contractor-facing fee tax line is the configured Completa Platform Fee, marketplace/platform fee, commission, seller fee, or retained fee, not the customer's gross project price and not residential labor paid to contractor. Contractor payout records must separately show the fee base, taxable base, tax amount, remittance responsibility, reserve, refunds, chargebacks, and net contractor payout.

3. Completa Connect

Completa Connect projects have no Completa platform fee, no contractor platform fee, and no contractor commission. Connect processing is contractor-paid; there is no customer-paid processing for Connect. Connect checkout supports customer-selectable credit card and ACH. ACH submission is not final funding, contractor payout remains blocked until ACH succeeds, and ACH failure does not permit off-platform collection.

Completa Connect contractor payouts remain subject to the applicable risk-tiered Performance Reserve because payment, dispute, refund, chargeback, warranty, and compliance risk still exists. The reserve is a temporary payout hold, not a platform fee or contractor commission.

4. Other Contractor Costs

Contractor may be responsible for optional premium feature fees, chargeback/refund/rework amounts caused by contractor fault, instant payout fees if offered and disclosed, negative-balance amounts, and replacement/correction costs where permitted by contract and applicable law.

At launch, Completa absorbs standard owner/principal verification and background-check provider costs unless the onboarding flow clearly discloses a pass-through cost before authorization. Future pass-through verification or background-check fees require written notice and an updated fee schedule before use.
