1. Definition

A "Completa Estimate" means a preliminary, non-binding, AI-assisted and formula-backed budget estimate generated through Completa's automated estimation system using customer-provided information, project classification logic, pricing rules, formulas, labor assumptions, material assumptions, market inputs, and other platform data.

A Completa Estimate is not a contractor bid, contractor offer, final quote, guaranteed price, or promise that a contractor will perform the work for the estimated amount.

2. Contractor Review

A contractor may review the Completa Estimate and submit a contractor-reviewed project price before accepting the project. Material differences from the Completa Estimate, including increases of more than 15% or other changes flagged by Completa's review workflow, require a reason and customer approval before the project becomes active.

After contractor accepts the Project SOW, contractor may not increase project price, milestone amount, payment schedule, materials, or completion criteria except through a written in-platform Change Order approved by the customer and contractor.

3. Estimate Validity

Completa Estimates are valid as a budget reference for 30 days from issuance unless the estimate states a shorter period, the customer changes scope, site conditions materially change, market or material inputs materially change, or the estimate is regenerated. After the validity period, Completa may require a refreshed estimate, diagnostic visit, contractor review, or updated SOW before project activation.

4. Binding Moment

The customer is not project-committed by chatting with intake, uploading photos, viewing a Completa Estimate, requesting a match, viewing recommendations, or receiving a contractor-reviewed price.

Binding project terms arise only when all of the following are complete:

  • customer approves the final Project SOW;
  • customer accepts payment authorization and milestone terms;
  • contractor accepts the Project SOW;
  • required payment succeeds or required milestone is funded; and
  • Completa confirms the project as active/funded.
