Completa shows the fee model before checkout and freezes the terms for each booked project. The estimate is a scoped baseline, not a private quote hidden inside a sales conversation. Contractors can review and counter before the project starts.
Every rate in a Completa estimate traces to a real source: government wage data for labor baselines, live supplier retail prices for materials, and industry rate surveys for specialty work, all calibrated to the Austin metro and reviewed on a set cadence. When a price changes at the supplier, our tables change; the estimate you see is built from what the market actually charges, not a national average.

Customer fee rules
- The fee base is total project gross, never an individual milestone amount.
- A $5,000 project split into $1,500 / $1,500 / $2,000 milestones uses the $5,000 project tier.
- The absolute minimum customer fee is $25 on real work projects.
- The 2% customer-fee floor remains after discounts.
- Home Club caps still apply as maximum customer fee rates: Homeowner: no cap. Builder: 8%. Legacy: 6%.
- Visit/diagnostic events disable the $25 project minimum so a small visit fee does not become a hidden $25 service-fee event.
Connect economics
- Customer platform fee: 0%.
- Contractor platform fee: 0%.
- Contractor keeps the client assigned to them.
- Connect processing is contractor-paid according to the selected rail and the frozen Connect commercial terms.
- Connect jobs do not accept customer reward credits.
Processing policy
- Standard marketplace below the active ACH-preferred threshold: Completa absorbs Stripe/payment processing cost.
- Above-threshold rail choice: ACH is shown without a customer-paid processing fee; credit card may show the exact card-processing fee when that rail is selected.
- Contractor marketplace payout is project gross minus contractor platform fee and any frozen reserve/holdback, not minus standard marketplace card processing.
- Connect processing is different by design: Connect is 0% platform fee, and contractor-paid processing is disclosed through the Connect terms.
